easyJet Baggage Allowance 2026

Understanding easyJet's baggage rules can save you time, money, and stress at the airport. Here's everything you need to know.

Hand Luggage (Small Cabin Bag)

All passengers can bring one small cabin bag for free:

  • Size: 45cm x 36cm x 20cm (including handles and wheels)
  • Must fit: Under the seat in front of you
  • Examples: Backpack, handbag, small laptop bag

Large Cabin Bag

If you want to bring a larger cabin bag (56cm x 45cm x 25cm) that goes in the overhead locker, you'll need to:

  • Purchase an "Up Front" or "Extra Legroom" seat, OR
  • Buy easyJet Plus membership, OR
  • Have FLEXI fare

Checked Baggage

Checked bags must be purchased separately:

  • 15kg bag: £7.99-£37.49 online (more expensive at airport)
  • 23kg bag: £10.49-£42.49 online
  • Maximum dimensions: 275cm total (length + width + height)

What Happens If Your Bag Is Too Big?

If your cabin bag doesn't fit the sizing guide at the gate, you'll be charged £48 to check it into the hold. Always check your bag size before heading to the airport!

Pro Tips

  • Book baggage when you book your flight - it's cheaper
  • Download the easyJet app to manage your booking easily
